Our Programs

Dorson Community Foundation is dedicated to serving the greater Essex county area with ongoing outreach and support classes that promote a positive environment within the community. Our innovative programs are designed to keep youths off of the streets, prepare them for a bright future, and nurture a sense of goodwill and respect amongst each other, their community, and the elderly.

These Programs Include:

Since 2002, we’ve offered low-cost SAT Prep courses. Sessions run for 4-5 weeks and classes meet twice per week.

Business and Computer Skills

This free Saturday morning class is run by business professionals and teaches kids about the stock market, entrepreneurship, and basic computer skills.

Participants across various programs interact with the elderly in various capacities including a pen pal initiative and visits to area nursing homes.
